Wednesday August 25th 1926 Laura and I went to Peoria with The Woolfs. I did some shopping for myself. Wrote Warner Mc--- while waiting for the rest at a store. Pleasant day. Thursday August 26th 1926 Walked up town to the dentists. Rode back in taxi. Worked on rug. Had letter from Fannie. Wrote to her and Gertrude Smith. Spent evening on porch. Friday August 27th 1926 A very hot day. Worked on rug. Callers in afternoon. Letter from Mrs Falk. Wrote Hattie. Edith to Pekin in PM. Saturday August 28th 1926 I went up to the dentists in taxi. I finished a rug today. The girls busy with their affairs. I had letters from Jennie Sterritt, one from Hattie. She is on the way home. I went by taxi for treatment for my foot in evening. The girls had callers. Sunday August 29th 1926 Harry & Mabel here today. They left for home at 4.30. The girls had a caller later. I wrote Cousin Jen and Joe Woolf. Monday August 30th 1926 Laura went to Peoria by train. The other girls canned corn. I busy with my affairs. Wrote Hattie and Mrs Falk. Tuesday August 31st 1926 When here busy sewing for self. Went to dentist in AM and after supper by taxi to Dr for my foot. The girls busy at home. Letter from Winnie. Wednesday September 1st 1926 It is 15 years today since Mother died and a year ago today I went home from here by way of Chicago. Wrote W B Mv--- and Winnie. I sewed for myself. Evening on porch. Mrs Clarke here.
