Thursday September 2nd 1926 I was sewing for myself all day. Edith ironing went up town after supper. Dr Fachler called. Letter from Will Work. Friday September 3rd 1926 Frank Woolf took the girls to Peoria. I was busy here. A terrible rain last night and again late today. The folks did not leave Peoria till it was over. Saturday September 4th 1926 I was busy most of the day fixing my grey dress. The girls getting ready for company. Letter from Hattie. Wrote Fannie. It rained nearly all day. All went to bed early. Sunday September 5th 1926 It was still raining this morning. I did up the dishes and the girls got things ready for dinner. Their company came from Peoria. They were relatives of their Mother. Very pleasant people. Mr & Mrs [McCleson?] and daughter. Some other callers some later. I wrote Mattie Stitt. Edith was away for a ride. The girls who is to stay with them came back. Monday September 6th 1926 The girls both went to school. But Laura only stayed till noon. I did some washing for myself and was sewing some. I had a 26 page letter from Ott Seibert. It had been to her Mother first. I wrote to both in afternoon and did my ironing. After supper I went over to sit with Lou Thomas awhile. Her Father is sick. The weather is delightfully cool since last night.
