Saturday December 25th 1926 We were rather late getting up and looked at our gifts before we ate breakfast. The Byingtons came over just before dinner was ready which was fine. William came home last night. The baby was so good today. They went home about four oclock. Later we four woman went over in a taxi. Mrs Shafter ad daughter were there. We had a [illg.] supper and grab bag. The Byingtons have a radio that William had got in order so we listened in on that. He brought us home about eleven oclock. Ott to Omaha tonight. What a delightful day. Sunday December 26th 1926 Rob took Hattie & me to S S and Cora & Birdie came for her to go riding so she did not stay for church. I stayed and went down to the store to ride home with Rob. We all took a nap in the afternoon. After supper Rob & Hattie took Birdie to West Liberty to take her train. I read in evening. Monday December 27th 1926 I worked on bead bag some. Hattie down town in the AM. I went back with Rob after dinner. I took Wills ring to have re-set. Did an errand for myself & Hattie at Strohs. Then got on the car for home. Called at Ella Sanders. Went from there to the cemetery and called at Mrs Raymonds on the way back. Wrote Lydia and read in the evening. weather pleasant with no snow on the ground.
