Thursday Agust 26th 1920 I had a good nights rest. Reached St Paul on time had breakfast in depot. Visited with Ida tll time for my train at 9.50 Reached Nye at noon. Charlie Taylor met me. I found Laura in charge. Grace had gone to The City for a few days. I visited with Laura and slept awhile. We sat on the porch in the evening. This is a beautiful place. Friday August 27th 1920 A fine day. I wrote home and to Lydia. Grace got home at noon. I slept some and visited with the folks. The young folks from the cottage spent the evening here. We had music. Saturday August 28th 1920. The folks had a busy day preparing for a picnic tomorrow. I wrote Carrie Anderson. Weather threatening. Sunday August 29th 1920. There was a rain last night, but the people came to the picnic. The folks were busy serving them. I read a book and helped them what I could. Monday August 30th 1920 We spent the day in an idle way. Charlie went to town and later he and Laura went fishing. Grace and I spent the evening looking at pictures. Letter from Rob & Cora. Tuesday August 31st 1920 I was not well, did not get up till noon. Had a letter from Hattie. Wrote her a card. I slept a little in afternoon. It was so cool we spent the evening in the house talking and having music.
