Thursday September 16th 1920 Mrs Falk went to Marshalltown on an early car. We were busy with different things most of the day. I made a call at Hoffmans to meet Mrs Falk at 7.20. She came on to spend evening with Hattie. Ott was in town so I stayed with Fannie. Friday September 17th 1920 We took an early ride. Went to Coralville for lard and later to The Ragen gardens north of town. The afternoon at home. William returned from his Auto trip to Oklahoma soon after noon. We had a short ride after supper. Wrote Lydia a card from [here?] Saturday September 18th 1920 The girls did a big washing and finished the ironing before supper. I baked bread and helped in every way I could. Hattie put up grape juice in afternoon. We had a short ride after supper. Edith & Cora soon went upstairs. Mrs Falk Hattie and myself sat in my room till late. Sunday September 19th 1920 The Whetstones went for a picnic and Mrs Falk to church \with the Lovelands. I was busy all forenoon and got our dinner. The folks home at four oclock. Evening on the porch. Monday September 20th 1920 We all went to the station with Edith and Mrs Falk at 10.15. I wrote Gracie Taylor before dinner. It was very warm. I did not go to the station when Paul Whetstone went west at 3.35. We had supper alone. The first time we four have done that for months. Hattie & I down to Otts in the evening.
