Tuesday September 6th 1921 I got up and ate some breakfast. Cora went to the store. She came back in time to go down to Fannies to a luncheon with Hattie. I went down of an errand and looked at the tables. Rob & I had dinner at home. I sat on the porch most of the afternoon. At five oclock we rode to town. Hattie and I spent the evening together. I read aloud. Letter from Lydia. Wednesday September 7th 1921 Hattie and I worked with a bushel of peaches she got till noon to finish them. I helped Cora some. She was cleaning Hatties kitchen. I emptied a sack of sugar after dinner that Ron had brought at three oclock. He came for Hattie and I. She went to Aid meeting I to town for treatment. I wrote to Lydia before supper. To Ida and Mrs Pickens in evening. Thursday September 8th 1921 I helped the girls some to get ready for their P E O luncheon today. I ate with and visited with the ladies. Hattie and I washed the dishes after they were gone. Evening at home. It is 46 years since John & Hattie were married. Friday September 9th 1921 I was busy in my part of the house most of the forenoon. I rested awhile and dressed to go down to Fannies at three oclock. Cora had head-ache all forenoon but was able to go. Fannie had all the cousins Aunts and some of the neighbors to meet Mary. We did not come home till after dark. Hattie expected to go to Centreville tomorrow with William and Mary but heavy rain at late bed-time will interfere.
