Sunday January 1st 1922 Hattie dressed me before she went to church. Laura came home in time to go with Rob & Cora. The Whetstones to Sheldricks for dinner. Laura and I down to Otts. Such a good visit. Sheldrick here later. George Stevens and children called. It is 50 years today since I began to keep a diary. Monday January 2nd 1922 Laura left at 10.10. Rob took her to the station. I was in bed till noon. Read some in afternoon and aloud to Hattie in evening. Tuesday January 3rd 1922 Was dressed after dinner and rode down to Fannies with the girls. Stayed there while they went to a party. Had supper with Ott. Came home soon after and went to bed early. Wednesday January 4th 1922 Dr Smith came in the morning. He arranged for an x ray picture tomorrow. Was dressed in afternoon and read part of the time. Thursday January 5th 1922 Mother's birthday. Rob took Hattie and me to Mercy Hospital at 9. oclock for x ray. Then we went to Miss Klein for manicure. Stopped at Fannies. She had luncheon for 14 ladies. I rested in afternoon awhile. Walked home. Evening reading and music. Friday January 6th 1922 Was in bed nearly all day. At two oclock Dr Ned Smith came and put a plaster cast on my arm. I was up in the evening but suffered greatly. Saturday January 7th 1922 Very uncomfortable all day. Slept little last night. Got up at three oclock. Fannie here in afternoon. Cora bad head ache.
