Monday January 23rd 1922 Did not get up till noon. Hattie to Shakespeare Club in the afternoon. Ott came up to see me. Cora got home tonight. Tuesday January 24th 1922 I got up at noon. Looked for Dr Smith in afternoon to change bandage on my wrist. But he did not come. Lula and Mr Towns stayed here all night. Rob & Cora to masquerade ball. Ott is here again. Wednesday January 25th 1922 Dr Smith came and put lighter bandage on my wrist. It is doing all right. Wrote to Lydia. My first letter since hurt. The Cedar Rapids folks went home in afternoon. The Whetstones to a picture show in evening. Ott with me. A good business talk. Thursday January 26th 1922 Did not get up till noon. Hattie in my room. I was telling her of the talk Ott & I had last night. She and Cora away in afternoon. I wrote to Ida. Gertrude Smith over in afternoon. Hattie & I alone in evening. Friday January 27th 1922 It was a wonderful day for winter time. The girls did a big washing. Cora to town in PM. Mollie Stevens to stay all night. Saturday January 28th 1922 Cora ironing. Hattie to town in AM. Mollie away early. Hattie went to Des Moines at 3.30. Cora and me to picture show (Henry the 8th). Rob & Cora to town after supper. Ott up here with me awhile. Sunday January 29th 1922 I got up for breakfast. Rob & Cora were away part of the forenoon. I came done to Otts in time for dinner. I read in afternoon and evening. Ott to town awhile after dinner.
