Sunday October 8th 1922 We left at 9 oclock to drive to Pomona. A man with us named Baker who lived in Iowa City 30 years ago. Had dinner and drove back over the hills. Evening to church. fine day. Monday October 9th 1922 I went down town this AM and secured Pullman space to leave the 20th. Clem Ashley took me to ride in afternoon and call on her folks. Mrs Ashley sick. We saw Mrs [Horne?] Tuesday October 10th 1922 Ella and I called at the office of Horne & Elliott. Then went for long street car ride. Afternoon in room. Wrote to Winnie, Joe Woolf and Lizzie. Letters and paper today. Evening here. Wednesday October 11th 1922 Took long ride with Ella in AM. I expected Blanche but she did not come. Out to supper alone. Ella to church meeting. Thursday October 12th 1922 Out in AM for a ride. Looked for May Lathrop but did not find her. Did fancy work and slept in PM. Wrote in evening.
