Monday December 11th 1922 I was busy with Christmas work all day. Hattie to a couple of meetings in PM. Birdie busy at home. Tuesday December 12 1922 I knit on a scarf for Ida all day. A letter from Laura tells she got beautiful roses for the church in Wills memory and his friends appreciated it greatly. This is the anniversary of his and Edith burial. Wednesday December 13 1922 I knit all forenoon The girls went down to Fannies to a church meeting in afternoon. Letters in evening. Thursday December 14 1922 Rob and Cora to Cedar Rapids. Hattie and Birdie to a luncheon. I went to town to shop. Got lunch then and did not come home till four oclock. I wrote six letters in spare time. Weather cold. A letter from Mrs. Falk Friday December 15 1922 I tied up packages all forenoon and went to town after dinner with Rob to mail them and do more shopping. Came home in taxi. Roy Weldies wife is dead. Saturday December 16 1922 I did up more packages. Hattie took them to mail in AM. Sewed all afternoon and evening. Wrote a couple of letters. Sunday December 17th 1922 It was a very cold day. I was was not away from the house. Busy with my own affairs. The girls were home all day too. I did some writing.
