Friday, January 20, 1865. Off at 6 this A.M. to meet Mrs. W- at L - Very annoying traveling companion. Train ran off the track and did not reach L till ten the next day. Manda & Nellie wept for joy, as they had been very uneasy about me. A most delightful P.M. and evening with the girls. Riding with Capt Klink & Nellie. Manda had a severe head-ache and I knew I my delay had caused it.
