Friday, February 17, 1865. This morning went to the McPherson and greatly surprised Mrs R -. Became acquainted with & much interested in Miss Bissell. Steamer did not come till after dark. Mr V very kindly went on board with me and remained till we left. Before starting heard a very pleasant essay by Chaplain Merill. Blessings attend me every where.
