Monday, February 20, 1865. Arrived in Memphis early this morning. Arranged for Mrs R - to go home & Mrs. Price to succeed her. While reading the precious epistles that I found awaiting me Mrs B & Mis E- arrive "en route" for Little Rock. As there was no one else I had to arrange to go with them. Spent a pleasant evening at the [Con] Home & then went on board the steamer. How I would like a few days rest.
