Wednesday, February 22, 1865. We are moving very slowly down the Mississippi. The rain last night prevented us from moving, and we are much behind time. But rain or shine matters little so deeply am I interested in the French Revolution. Sat up late writing letters. We are enjoying our journey very much though wind and tide seem against us.
