Friday, February 24, 1865. This morning to our chagrin the Capt received orders to return to the Mouth of White River & reload for Little Rock. Arrived at the mouth before dark and here we are no nearer our destination than we were two days since We are having a fine chance to learn patience. Time moves on and there is no hope of my reaching W- by the 4th
