Friday, March 3, 1865. Today it has poured "from early morn till latest eve", & the boat could not load so here we lay still. I have finished the Rev' and enjoyed it more than any book I have read this winter. Only three women on the boat, two dip snuff & the other smokes Not much better prospect of good company than we had going down.
