Tuesday, March 23, 1865. Mrs Briggs & Mrs Gibson very kindly helped me nearly all day & considerable was done. Tillie came to see me just as we rose from the tea table. It was more than a pleasure to meet her and talk with her again. Walked to the college holding her dear hand just as we used to when we were in college together. Laura G- spent the evening with us and sang beautifuly. Charlie ventures to leave me today
