Friday, March 24, 1865. Last night came the sad news of Bishop Hanelines death. Another one of earths best gone. Six or eight letters every day. No time to answer them or indeed for anything else but my sewing and the numerous calls I must stop to receive. I never so fully appreciated the enjoyment of home before. But one of the dear ones is in the grave and two others hundreds of miles away.
