Thursday, April 6, 1865. Arrived in [Louisville?] early. Made known my desire to go to N- and was informed that Mr Russell was going also. At two P.M. were seated in the cars and on our way. Found Mr R- exceedingly agreeable. Though I had traveled two nights stayed awake till after 10, talking with him. After one reached N-, & how my heart thrilled to know I was in the same city with Pa & Manda. Went to bed at C.C. Rooms but could not sleep thinking of the dear ones so near.
