Saturday, April 8, 1865. Such a happy day with the loved ones Many of the soldies I used to know seemed pleased to have me back. Everything is so beautiful here & yet the past casts a dark shadow over it all. Had a few prcious moments with _ walked with clasped hands & thought what we could not say. What a life this is, but to us God is crowding it with blessings. So good to hear father pray again.
