Friday, April 14, 1865. Left Pittsburg early this morning. Delighed with the scenery along the route. Especially across the Allegahnies At Altoona Mr Bishop came on the train and was a pleasant companion along the Blue Jamata & Susquehannah rivers. In Harrisburg before dark. Nice room, good bath and after prayers sweet sleep. A day long to be remembered.
