Saturday, April 15, 1865. This morning came the terrible news that President Lincoln had been murdered Sec Seward nearly so Were off at three a.m. and found on our arrival at Baltimore that the news was too true. Kind Mr Warren took us to the Hotel, but we were depressed and wretched. The day in keeping with the Nations gloom. Arrived in W- about 10. P.M. tired out walked to 320 N.Y. Ave. Miss Fowler received us very kindly. Many kind letters awaiting me
