Friday, May 12, 1865. Did some shopping with Miss Fowler. Very unwell. Could not write. Evening went with Messrs Weeks & Lundford to Campbell No one at home. Pleasant ride thence to Mt. P- all [engaded?] there. Met Miss F - as we returned went to Mt P - and joined in the singing to the sick in the wards Ride home in the moon-light very pleasant. The war is almost at an end. Jeff D - captured says Madam Brown.
