WEDNESDAY, MAY 16th, 1865. Spent the morning trying to write but with little effect. Nice call from Miss Murdock. Afternoon still dull went with Miss Fowler to Campbell Hospital Found Mrs Cole ministering to a wounded soldier. We had a good talk with her, then singing, tea, & Messrs Weeks & Sandford let us have their buggy for a ride. It proved charming. Evening we went with the gentlemen to a pleasant party of our own,"Us four & no more!" Telegram from Mrs W - Come to Phil!
