SATURDAY, MAY 20, 1865. Left Phil' last night slept well & woke up in Washingtn Wrote some letters today and did some sewing. Had several calls, but the day was very dull. Washington I not a very interesting city, but Miss F- is an interesting roommate, and when she returned from her visit the dullness was all gone. It is a luxury to live: especialy with a heart full of love to God & humanity.
