TUESDAY, MAY 23, 1865. I suppose since the days of the II Napoleon such a day has not been in the worlds history. The first Section of our Grand Army passed in review today. The battered banners & war-worn heroes & the thought of the army slain brought tears to many eyes. O! to think that the war is over. Can we ever praise God enough. O that as a people we were more devoted to him
