WEDNESDAY, MAY 24, 1865. Today our Western troops were on Review Genl' Grant sent Mrs Wittenmyer ticket and we had a seat on the platform in front of the White House They all looked finely, marched as if proudly conscious of the service they had done their country. After it was all over our party closed this joyful day by eating ice cream & strawberries and being deeply grateful
