FRIDAY, MAY 26, 1865. Fasted this morning and hoped by faithful prayer to find that nearness to God that I have so long sought. Too stormy to do anything outside & spent the day letter writing. Am almost up with my correspondence now. With what enjoyment I will look back on these days in the future. Busy days but full of love & labor.
