SATURDAY, MAY 27, 1865. Went through the rain soon after daylight to Campbell for Miss Cole. Aftr a nice breakfast, came in on the cars & found Mr W & Mr L waiting impatiently. Were soon off to Alexandira. Visited Slough then Sickles, then a romantic ride up the Potomact to Genl' Meades Head Quarters. Enjoyed our visit there & the trip back accross the long bridge. Mr L - spent the eve - but too tired to go downstairs.
