TUESDAY, MAY 30, 1865. Very sick still Only able to sit up a few moments at a time Nellie came to see me and did me ever so much good with her loving sympathy. Have seldom known more bodily suffering, but know it is all right or it would not be. I am almost homesick. No one like Mother at such a time. Miss F- read to me and healped wear away the dull hours of pain.
