FRIDAY, JUNE 9, 1865. Went early to Mrs Coles. Thence to Mt Pleasant & called a moment at Columbian. Afternoon to dinner at Mrs Jones Evening with Messrs S & W- to hear Anna Dickinson. Charmed as usual with her. On the way home Mr W- made an invidious comparison that aroused Miss Fs ire & justly. Too bad to have so pleasant a day spoiled so. How wonderful the love of God to us. I am lost in praise.
