Sunday, June 18, 1865. Very dull during the morning service P.M. went with friends to colored class meeting. Could but feel as they told the story of the cross that they were indeed earnest followers of the Lord. Evening to the Episcopal Church. The whole service, especially the grand music of the organ, very inspiring. Weather so oppressive that it is almost impossible to have much energy in any department.
