Sunday, July 9,1865. The best Sabbath I have spent in Washington. Morning went to S. School then to church. Dr Nadal preached an excellent sermon from "Love not the world" & P.M. Precious season of prayer, and reading my Bible. To class at three. The best hour of the day. Manda came while we were at tea. S & W- walked home with us and stayed all evening. Singing pleasant.
