Wednesday, July 19, 1865. We have had a merry day. All six in the best of spirits. Very kindly received at Pittsburg. Hard to leave Miss M- without staying a day or two. P.M. had the car mostly to ourselves and sang, or talked or read as we felt inclined. Somewhat dull from riding all night. At midnight the girls changed cars, and Miss M- and I were left to journey alone.
