Monday, July 24, 1865. A good letter from Manda this morn - full of interesting items. A.M - doing little nothings about the house, that consume time but amount to nothing in the end. All the evening writing letters. Though it has rained and been dark all day home has been bright and cheery. Retired early almost sick, and very tired.
