Thursday, July 27, 1865. The blessing of the morning was a letter from Mattie and one from Sanford. Thank God one trouble is ended. Did some shopping for Jennie & then went with her to the train. P.M. Wrote some sewed some & spent the evening reading to Mother in the Atlantic. Joanna D- called a few moments. My resolution kept thus far. Letter to Mrs. Murdoch.
