Thursday, August 3, 1865. Rained hard all day nearly. A.M most all spent in sewing. Maggie B- & Lou G- called & stirred us up with their life and fun. P.M. went to Mrs Hamlines to the sisters meeting. It proved indeed a most precious season. Made some purchases & had a nice walk home in the rain. Eve - sewing and talking with Ma. A most happy day.
