Sunday, August 6, 1865. Up early & went with Charlie to S. School To my great surprise E- came & sat near, & talked with me. Bro W- preached a good sermon on death & the judgment. {Dull! Class very good. P.M. read my Bible till 4. o'clock then went to the Hall to hear Bro Ingalls on the Orphans cause. Very fine, singing especially charming. Evening reading.Talked long in the twilight with Mother.
