Wednesday, August 16, 1865. Another busy, tiresome day. All the forenoon spent in the country begging for the Festival. P.M Took time for my noon prayer. Ironed, mended my shoes, had a call and lo, the day was gone. Stayed with Charlie while Ma' & Jennie went to prayer meeting. Spent the time reading the precious word, and found the promises as ever most cheering.
