Wednesday, August 23, 1865. Did some washing for myself, but not equal to the task & had to call on Jennie. Spent a little time sewing. P.M. went to the train to meet Manda, but she did not come. Called on Mollie K- Later M- came for me in the carriage and we had a most pleasant drive. All the eve, till nearly mid-night writing to Mattie. Very impatient for Manda to come!
