Saturday August 26, 1865. Up very early. Sat' work soon done and then did some buisiness in town that consumed all the A.M. After dinner answered several letters that have been on hand some time. Manda came on the eve' train and we were happy. Several calls, but sat up late to hear all M-s adventures. Had a pleasant time reading the Bible when all were asleep.
