Tuesday, September 5, 1865. A dull rainy day Manda and I carpeted the library in the A.M. P.M went down town with Manda and made some purchases. Came home & spent some time binding carpet. Had outward things been our only dependence would have been a dull day, but the Sun of Righteousness shining in brightens & dispels outward gloom. Will that cloud always stay?
