Sunday, September 10, 1865. Another holy Sabbath gone forever! A day of deep earnest thought and much mental conflict, but think through grace I will come off conqueror. Reading the Bible & Guide to Holiness, and about an hour in Mrs Kitty Treyvelyans Diary to Mother. Rain prevented me from tending church, and felt the day most profitabl at home. Sunset inspiring as I enjoyed it from my window.
