Thursday, September 28, 1865. Too much to do at home to attend Conference. Met Mrs Dee at the train & came home with her. Home full of company. Stayed from church and and wrote to my dear sick friend Mrs Darwin. This A.M met Secretary Harlan on the walk & had a most profitable conversation. He gave me a flower that I will long cherish. Am more and more pleased with -- daily.
