Tuesday, October 3, 1865. Mrs W- came early. P.M. went with her & the other D.Ks to the Asylum The ride and company delightful & visit the most satisfactory I ever had. All took tea together at Mr Kibbener Toward eve' the thought of the sad events of one year ago almost overcame me. Mrs W- and I slept together and talked far into the night. A precious friend she is.
