Thursday, October 19, 1865. At work before sun up. The eclipse of the sun quite an interesting item of the morning. Manda read several hours in Jean Paul while I attended to the baking and sewed. Tea [nevr?] early and read two chapters before the bell rang. Then to college to the singing, but it did not pass off very pleasantly. Home by eight and read again till bed time A happy peaceful day.
