Tuesday, October 24, 1865. Ironing in the A.M. P.M. wrote letters to Lizzie B-, Mrs Porter, and began one to Mrs H- also one to Tishie. Read and enjoyed my chapters very much, also the short season of prayer. These are delightful autumn days full of happy peaceful thoughts. If the way opens up for me as I now hope, they will be still more peaceful and happy. What mercies crowd my path! To God alone the praise belongs.
