Thursday, October 26, 1865. Some clouds in the domestic horizon, but my heart to full of love to God & humanity to be annoyed by them. Did the housework all fore-noon so Manda could sew. As we sat down to dinner Jennie gave me a letter from Mr Waite urging me to come to Burlington, so I decided to go, & have been busy all P.M. mending packing & getting ready. No time for Bible reading today. Hope to make up for it.
