Sunday, November 5, 1865. Some better this A.M. A good time reading my Bible. Ellen H- called full of sympathy & brot' me a letter from Mattie full of fun as usual. Then Henry came with the letters from home, & a treat they were. Will see Manda soon. Letter from S.J.R. Mrs W- & A.P. Wood Esq. A few pleasant moments with M- It is better to go to room of the suffering than the home of mirth I am sure.
