Tuesday, November 7, 1865. Another day of vexation of spirit. How long I can endure this teaching I cannot tell. O! it is hard, hard. I hardly know how I got through the day. Manda came on the evening train & I went with her to Mrs Darwins. The evening passed in the most happy manner. We had so many things to talk over that it was nearly mid-night before we retired. Lovely day.
